Thailand Lighting Fair is ASEAN's leading trade fair on lighting technology, design and application. Since its launch in 2015, Thailand Lighting Fair (THLF) has grown to serve the region’s flourishing lighting industry and is continually expanding its scope to cater to market demands. THLF and Thailand Building Fair (THBF) was acquired by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd to form part of the Light + Building family. With this move, the fairs can leverage Messe Frankfurt's extensive international experience in growing trade fairs, while at the same time utilize its local organizing partners' knowledge to propel themselves forward as ASEAN’s leading trade fairs for lighting and building technology, design and solutions.
Thailand is one of the leading importers of lighting products in ASEAN, ranking second among all ASEAN member states for the import of general lamps, light fittings, electric filament lamps and discharge lamps. Thailand's LED market is experiencing exponential growth with a forecast value of USD2 billion by 2022. The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), for example, has undertaken a three-phase project devised to completely replace Thailand’s streetlights with more energy-efficient LEDs. Thailand is the hub and second-largest economy of ASEAN. It has reputation on the back of its investment policies, has a well-developed infrastructure and is the hub of ASEAN. The last edition of THLF attracted 300 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions, including Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Germany, Belgium, France and Italy with an exhibition space of 15,000 sqm. The fairs also welcomed 10,200 visitors from 48 countries and regions, including Cambodia, Singapore, China, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan and Germany.
Concurrently held with Thailand Building Fair at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand Lighting Fair offers an unrivalled one-stop sourcing platform in the region with a wide range of building technology and solutions. The fair is segmented into three sections: lighting accessories and electronic components; commercial, city and architectural lighting; lighting art and designer lighting fixtures.
