A 2.35” round anti-roll head prevents the flashlight from rolling away when placed on a flat surface. The multi-function, easy access head mounted push-button switch provides ergonomics, even with thick gloves, for one handed operation of momentary, variable intensity or strobe mode. The 9.53 inch flashlight is multi-fuel and accepts either two rechargeable 18650 USB batteries or four CR123A lithium batteries. An anti-rattle battery compartment keeps batteries securely and quietly in place and doesn’t need a battery carrier. Streamlight 18650 USB rechargeable lithium ion batteries come with an integrated USB charge port and safety circuit that protects from over charging or overdischarging. The 3.7V 2600 mAh 18650 USB batteries run for 1.25 hours on high setting and the CR123A batteries provide power for 1.5 hours at the full output of 2,500 lumens (385-meter beam, 37,000 Candela).
Streamlight's TEN-TAP programmable switch allows to select one of three different programs: high/strobe/low (factory default), high only, or low/medium/high. The medium output produces 1,000 lumens and a 237-meter beam (14,100 Candela peak intensity), with 2.5 hours of operation time for CR123A or 3 hours for the 18650 USB battery powered version. The low setting delivers 250 lumens and a 120-meter beam (3,620 Candela) with a run time of 10.5 hours (CR123A) or 11.5 hours (18650 USB). The strobe mode is designed for signaling or disorienting. It runs for 1.5 hours with CR123A batteries or 1.25 hours with 18650 USB batteries.
The ProTac HL 5-X LED flashlight is delivered with a two bay 18650 battery charger which can recharge two batteries in as little as 5 hours. The dual-input charger accepts either 5V USB power or utility AC or 12V DC power sources. When a wall outlet or utility power is not available, the flashlight can be charged from a PC, power pack or 12V DC automotive power. The charger features a two-bay design with single bay priority. A temperature safety circuit prevents damage to batteries while charging. The 18650 batteries can be alternatively charged with the Streamlight's lightweight, IPX4 water-resistant EPU-5200 portable USB charger which can be clipped to a vest and taken anywhere.
