Programmable Outdoor LED Pixel Lights for Bridges, Architectural Exteriors, Mesh Curtain Displays

The YD-DGC-90 RGB LED pixels from Yongdian Illumination are large form factor lighting nodes that are designed to deliver spectacular lighting and video animation for bridges, architectural facades and theme parks. The programmable LED pixels can be deployed in grids to transform any static architectural façade into a digital media facade for displaying visual masterpieces of text, graphics, and video animations. When installed in long runs, these full color light sources can create a unique aesthetic identity for a bridge by accentuating distinctive structural elements such as bridge pillars, suspension cables, and underdecks. The waterproof, intelligent dots are indispensable lighting elements for highlighting facilities and landscapes in amusement parks, such as Ferris wheels and water features.

YD-DGC-90 is a RGB LED module with 18 SMD LEDs in one pixel. The tricolor LED module integrates control ICs for individually addressable pixel control con¬figuration. With an 8-bit color depth per LED channel, the tricolor LED module is capable of reproducing every color of the rainbow. The on-board integrated IC chip provides individual pixel control using 3 DMX addresses. An array of nodes can be controlled via either DMX or Ethernet to create dynamic scenes or lighting effects. A grid of LED modules (with a substantial pixel count) can create pixel matrices to display text, graphics, videos and live transmissions. The individual pixel controllability offers scalable façade solutions that allow architects and designers to effortlessly transform any architectural surface of e.g. airports, stadiums, cinemas, shopping malls, or skyscrapers into an intelligent platform for complex content delivery. These LED pixels can be used to create transparent LED mesh systems that provide a see-through advertisement and communication platform.

The YD-DGC-90 LED dot pixels are engineered to withstand potential extreme conditions including water immersion, UV exposure, extreme temperatures, vibration and shock. The LED modules are hermetically sealed to create sealant-free encapsulation that features great moisture resistance, thermal stability, vibration and shock resistance, tear resistance, and flexural strength. With YD's secondary packaging technology that encapsulates all components into a one-piece molded PVC housing, YD-DGC-90 LED pixels have the highest level of watertight integrity that enable the LED modules to operate underwater at a depth of 20m. The UV-stabilized housing has excellent weatherability and can survive up to 10 years of outdoor exposure. The flame retardant plastic is UL 94 V-0 rated with a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of 28%.

The low profile LED dots easily accommodates two- and three-dimensional configurations, which enabling hassle-free installations in an extensive array of projects. In addition to direct surface mount with screws or adhesive tapes, these modules snap easily into accessory tracks, mesh systems or aluminum plates for deployment in grids or long runs.
