The 15W LED bulb features a large aluminum heatsink including a number of fins running longitudinally to provide improved heat dissipating surface area between the heatsink and the surrounding air. The increased heat within an LED bulb is mainly attributable to significantly increasing the device drive current to attain higher luminous output from the LEDs. Enhanced thermal management allows the SMD5730 LEDs to be driven at elevated power levels at the same time mitigating the adverse effects on life and light output generally most typically associated with higher power input levels. Great for continuous lighting in industrial facilities and warehouses as high/low bay lighting luminaires. Meanwhile saving a substantial initial cost as the typical high/low bay lights are much more expensive than this high power LED bulb.
