The ZGSM L Series cable-strung LED street lights are designed to address the needs for high efficacy, maintenance-free lighting systems in poleless street lighting applications. The luminaire incorporates all the critical elements needed to deliver superior operational performance, reliability and durability without compromising style. The ZGSM L Series starts out with the highest quality componentry in the industry. The light engine of the catenary lighting system utilizes Lumiled's epoxy molding compound (EMC) QFN technology for high quality light and exceptional luminous efficacy all in a highly reliable package. It incorporates 72, 96 120, 144 or 168 LUXEON 3030 2D LEDs in 56, 59, 70, 78, 86 or 110 mA ratings. The ZGSM L Series LED luminaires produce 3510, 4810, 7280, 9100, 11700 and 15000 lumens of quality white light from corresponding power consumption of 27, 37, 56, 70, 90 and 120 watts. The high efficacy LEDs are molded with a one-piece polycarbonate lens to produce Type V symmetrical light distributions for installation over the center of the road. Asymmetrical type I, II, III beam patterns are available to accommodate custom light distribution requirements. Precision designed optical system provides superior horizontal and vertical uniformity with excellent control of both glare and light spill.
The cable-strung LED luminaire maximizes the potential of LED performance and lifespan through a thermal design that optimizes the thermal performance of all components along thermal path from the LED die through the metal core PCB to the ambient environment. Integrated thermal management ensures the thermally optimized LED packages have an extraordinarily long service life of 100,000 hours. The LEDs are mounted to the MCPCB using a tightly controlled reflow soldering process in which creep resistant alloys are used to improve solder joint reliability. Robust solder joint performance that ensures significantly reduced thermal stresses from the LED junction area to the circuit board. The MCPCB includes a dielectric layer that offers electrical isolation as well as high thermal conductivity to keep the thermal resistance of entire MCPCB board low. The circuit board is thermally and mechanically interfaced with aluminum housing to provide rapid heat transfer.
The catenary mounted luminaire has a round, shallow domed die cast aluminum housing which provides architectural strength, dimensional stability as well as superior heat management to the lighting system. The luminaire housing is designed with a hinged open/close mechanism with a quick-release latch that allows for tool-less entry. The optical and electrical components are mounted to the top part of the housing which serves as the heat sink to keep the critical components cool without relying on air convection. The domed top with a dirt-repellent surface prevents debris accumulation and foliage buildup. The bottom cover has a gasketed, heat and impact resistant tempered glass lens and a one-piece silicone rubber gasket which seals the door frame to the housing for IP66 level ingress protection. A pressure stabilizing vent breather equalizes the internal/external air pressure to prevent seal fatigue and failure.
The ZGSM L Series LED street lights are powered by dimmable Inventronics or non-dimmable Mean Well drivers that provide high performance regulation over a wide range of operating conditions. The LED drivers with exceptional operating efficiency and provide a constant-current output with a PF-corrected and low THD input. The dimmable Inventronics driver has built-in 0-5V/0-10V/PWM/Time dimming options. These LED drivers deliver high reliability with robust specifications for overcurrent, short-circuit, overvoltage and over-temperature protection. The electrical system is equipped with a surge protection device (SPD) which provides 10kV common surge (line-to-ground) and differential surge (line-to-line) mode protection.
The luminaires come with specifically designed die cast catenary mounting brackets with position locks for use with 6 to 12 mm diameter steel cables.
