XGY T5 glass LED tubes are available with self-ballasted and external driver designs. The self-ballasted LED tubes are plug-and-play lighting systems that work straight out of the box. The externally driven LED tube light operates with a remote driver that offers the ability to work with controls and dimmers. XGY T5 glass LED tubes come standard with a constant current LED driver that uses a control IC to deliver a well regulated current to the LED load. The driver circuit provides power factor correction (PFC) to ensure the 90% efficiency of the power conversion circuit. These drivers work on a universal input range between 85VAC and 265VAC.

XGY T5 glass LED tubes incorporate Honglitronic 2835 SMD LEDs that deliver a system efficacy of up to 120 lumens per watt (LPW), providing 60% or more energy savings over conventional fluorescent lamps. These light sources provide the intensity, consistency and color rendering required to meet the illuminance and light quality standards in various ambient and task lighting applications. The irritating light throw from the directional LED light sources is softened by the frosted glass tube. Glass tubes have excellent thermal conductivity which helps maintain the LED junction temperatures below the maximum allowable value. In contrast to plastic tubes are subject to bend and deformation over time, glass tubes has with a lifetime rigidity that helps maintain a tight installation tolerance.
