4-, 6-, 8-inch Recessed LED Downlights

The Crescent LED downlights from Ansen Lighting are a family of high-performance downlights that provide uniform light distribution and effective glare control. These recessed downlights are available in 120mm, 168mm and 215mm round apertures with impressive lumen packages of 450lm, 900lm and 1200lm at system power consumption of 9W, 14W and 18W respectively. Huge volume delivered lumens at minimal energy consumption offer significant savings over halogen and CFL downlights. This efficacy advantage is multiplied by the lifetime and reliability benefits of this meticulously engineered LED lighting system which offers an extraordinarily long service life. Outstanding quality of light and beam performance lend itself particularly for use in retail and hospitality lighting applications such as hotels, restaurants, shops, showrooms and galleries.

The Crescent series is designed in an all-in-one package that provides installation simplicity for both new build and retrofit projects. The integrated lighting system incorporates the SMD LED assembly and driving circuitry in thermally regulated platform to a particularly high level of operation efficiency and luminous efficacy over the life of the product. The downlight uses 40 or 80 SMD5730 LEDs to deliver high volume of lumens and quality of light that ensure maximum visual comfort and guarantee sufficient illuminance. The LEDs are tightly binned for lifelong color consistency in color temperatures of 3000K, 4000K, and 6000K with a minimum color rendering index of 80. The optional 90+ CRI model offers superb rendering of natural whites and vibrant colors.

The LED downlight is engineered to provide effective thermal management. A thermally conductive aluminum alloy housing provides a sufficiently large enough area to dissipate heat away into the ambient environment. Thermal efficiency and reliability of the system is achieved by minimizing the effective thermal resistance for every component along the thermal path. The LED packages are bonded to thermally efficient PCB with high solder joint reliability. A thermal interface material (TIM) minimizes the temperature difference between the PCB and the aluminum heat sink. Outstanding thermal engineering protects the luminaire from lumen depreciation, color shift and premature failure as a result of phosphor thermal degradation.

The built-in constant current driver accommodates input voltages from 100 to 240 volts AC at 50/60Hz. The line-powered driver delivers high reliability with robust specifications for excellent power factor correction and moderate line current distortion. The high performance driver provides an accurate and regulated current with reduced ripple to the LED load for flicker-free operation and allows the LEDs to run to their optimum performance throughout their rated functional life.

The downlight comes with a white polycarbonate trim that compliments commercial and residential spaces to maintain a clean ceiling appearance. Stainless steel spring clips are mounted on trim to lock the downlight in place. The trim also houses a regressed acrylic lens which diffuses luminous flux from the directional light source evenly with 105 degree visual cutoff whilst also minimizing glare from every angle of view.
