The Appolo Series is designed to create enhanced ambiance and set striking light accents for lighting up prestigious areas and atmospherically emphasizing details. The precision designed optical system with a 20° or 36° visual cutoff delivers exceptionally uniform levels of illuminance and high center beam candle power (CBCP) for directional applications. The sophisticated hybrid optical system consists of a convex transitional lens and a precision spun aluminum reflector. Unique combination of reflective and refractive optical components in consistent optical alignment produces homogenous light distribution and tight beam control while maximizing lumen output. Two-stage reflector system eliminates glare from every angle of view and yields an excellent UGR rating of 19 or lower. The luminaire head tilts up to 25°, making it suitable for sloped ceilings.
The downlight incorporates chip-on-board (COB) technology from Cree to bring about the efficacy, lifetime, and reliability benefits of LED lighting along with light quality comparable to a halogen lamp. These high-density integrated arrays provide the superior quality of light, color consistency, and reliability which Cree is known for. The Appolo Series is available in 22W, 30W, 42W, and 54W models which produce 1250, 1700, 2450, and 3200 lumens respectively. This product family is available in correlated color temperatures (CCTs) of 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K. Tight 3-step MacAdam ellipse binning yields superior color consistency. 80+ CRI on all models, 90+ CRI is available for applications where high color fidelity is a premium. High luminance produce by the Cree COB LEDs combined with precision optical control using a combination of secondary optics allows the Appolo Series to offer industry leading punch for high center beam intensity and uniformity. This line of products can be used to provide clean, uniform illumination in 4 to 9 m ceiling heights.
To address phosphor thermal degradation in COB lighting systems, the Appolo LED downlight is equipped with a cold forged magnesium alloy heat sink which has significantly higher thermal conductivity than that of a die cask heat sink. The heat sink has an array of vertical black−anodized heat dissipation fins to maximize the total ambient contact surface area, facilitate natural air convection, and improve thermal radiation ability. The interfacial air gaps and voids between the ceramic substrate Cree COB LED and heat sink are completely filled by a high performance thermal interface material (TIM).
The Appolo Series LED downlight is powered by a high performance driver that operate with high efficiency and reliability across a universal input voltage range from 200 to 240 VAC. The constant current LED driver provides excellent load regulation to ensure the LEDs are not overdriven. The driver generate minimal ripples in the output current provided to the LED load, which ensures flicker-free operation. The driver provides power factor correction (PFC) and low total harmonic distortion (THD) over wide variations in line voltage.
