The Ansen DL01 Series LED downlights are architectural-grade, Non-IC recessed lighting systems designed for installation into existing 6 and 8 inch commercial, architectural, remodel and retrofit style frames. Available in 3 wattage options including 18W, 27W and 54W, the LED downlight delivers up to 3800 lumens of high quality white light with a luminous efficacy of up to 75 lumens per watt. The LED downlight is designed to create a well-lit environment and deliver extraordinary illumination experience with superb light output, exceptional color quality, and optimum glare control. The dimmable luminaire is also engineered to maximize efficiency and lifetime benefits of LED technology for substantial reduction in overall life-cycle costs.

The LED downlight features an optical design that provides a volumetric distribution of light as well as high center beam intensity and uniformity without the disturbing glare or cave effect of traditional downlights. Two-stage reflector system combines a facet aluminum reflector that provides optimized distribution of luminous flux to the desired direction and a heavy gauge, highly reflective diffuse anodized spun aluminum reflector to deliver uniform illumination for better visual comfort. The deep cone reflector design allows the light source to be a deeply regressed for a glare-free 37° or 50°visual cutoff while providing precise optical control and high on-axis efficiency.

The use of chip-on-board (COB) technology enables the lighting system to deliver high levels of uniformity and intense CBCP from a large light emitting surface (LES). This light characteristic is highly desired for small cutoff ambient lighting applications such as in commercial offices, municipal buildings, warehouses, retail premises, hotels and public spaces. The Ansen DL01 Series LED downlights take advantage of Cree COB LEDs to deliver a combination of superior color quality, high lumen density, increased system level efficacy, tight beam control and uniform illuminance. Utilizing Cree's proprietary phosphor technology, the high density LED array is fabricated to deliver an optimized light spectrum for intense white light without sacrificing the vibrancy of other colors.

Thanks to the inherent thermal performance of Cree COB packages as well as effective thermal management of the lighting system, the LED light source is able to maintain constant performance, color quality, and chromaticity point over its lifetime with 70% of initial lumens at 50,000 hours of operation. A robust, externally mounted dimmable driver that provides excellent line and load regulation ensures the lifetime optimal operation of the light engine by delivering outputs matched to the electrical characteristics of the COB LED. This constant current driver delivers full-range dimming from 0-10V. Minimal ripples are generated in the output current provided to the LED load, which allows the downlight to provide flicker-free lighting in visually demanding retail and office applications.
