Through a simple, effortless combination of light shades and LED luminaires, Flamingo offers a number of configurations that adapt to different architectural layouts and personal preferences. The pendant light uses one or two 5.6W LED luminaires that project light upward from below the shades and/or downward from above the shades. The glamorous, semi-translucent white PMMA shades promote a beautiful reflection and transparency that encourages a warm and inviting interior ambience. The gracefully suspended fixture with luminous shades coming in one, two, three or four tiers and in either same or varied sizes exudes a tranquil, attractive designer appeal that soothes even the most restless soul.
Flamingo's exceptional value is also articulated through creative optical design. Indirect illumination creates smooth and uniform light emissions while offsetting harsh LED light source, eliminating hot spots and direct glare. In addition to a visually pleasing reflective ambience, a small portion of luminance penetrates through the shades, creating a visual sense of organic depth that is especially wished-for in stark minimalist interior schemes. The LED luminaire that is placed below the shades not only projects a upward beam for a beautiful refection of light, it also casts a downward beam to provide a high amount of illuminance for task lighting in height spaces. Flamingo is available with a low-ceiling version that is designed with an additional luminaire. This luminaire is suspended in close proximity with the floor and produces a pool of light over the floor, adding a wonderful lighting accent to the space.
Flamingo is designed to excel and built to last. The sleek LED luminaire is painstakingly engineered to deliver dependable performance. The lamp is available in a 2700 Kelvin color temperature with a minimum color rendering index of 80. Thanks to high flux density LEDs, highly reflective light shades and high efficiency power conversion, Flamingo boasts a high fixture efficacy of up to 98 lm/W. The cylindrical aluminum housing with integral longitudinal fins has a substantial heat sinking capacity and efficiently draws heat away from the LED junction. Superior thermal management maintains maximum useful life of the LED module as well as its color quality. The minimalist looking luminaire is finished in a pure charcoal grey, matte gold or matte white, which adds a tint of modern industrial aesthetic to the design.
The LED luminaires are powered by a constant current driver that is housed in the junction box. The high performance LED driver works on the 120-277V 50/60Hz universal input and regulates LED current up to 500 mA. The ambience is readily adjustable with the built-in 0-10V dimming control. A driver specifically compatible with Lutron EcoSystem dimming is also available. For addressable dimming control, a driver with network-ready DALI interface is offered as an option.
