The UCG2 LED railing systems are Low Location Lighting (LLL) fixtures which integrate the energy efficient, long life LEDs in long continuous, seamless runs. The illuminated rail system combines architectural styling and sustainable lighting technology to provide a revolutionary low height roadway lighting solution for applications where obtrusive light has to be reduced or pole mounted illumination is not applicable. The UCG2 LED guardrails are designed to provide wide asymmetrical light beams for two- or four-lane roads such as ramps, bridges and overpasses. The LED railing systems are also available with near-field asymmetrical light distribution patterns, making it a great choice for use as illuminated balustrades, guardrails, stair and elevator hand-holds.
The UCG2 LED railing systems use ⌀114mm galvanized steel poles which is electrostatically applied and oven cured with a layer of zinc to provide excellent resistance to chipping, scratching and corrosion while achieving optimal color and gloss retention. A linear LED module is integrated into the internal slot of steel pole and delivers functional illumination through the 3D fiber laser machined cutouts. The modular mounting joints and series-connected LED modules that run with solder-free push fit connectors allow the fixtures to be connected in a continuous run configuration that enables end-to-end illumination. The UCG2 LED railing systems operate on 24 VDC power supplies. The remotely located 24V LED driver is protected against overtemperature, overload, open- and short-load conditions. The linear LED modules and electrical connection are protected to IP65 rating.
The UCG2 series makes use of 6 or 8 Cree/Osram high power LEDs to deliver up to 900 lumens of clean, consistent < 3SDCM white light. The intrinsic characteristic of the high quality LEDs combined with integrated thermal management and optimized electrical characteristics ensures a high system efficacy and long L70 life. A precision engineered optical system optimizes asymmetrical illumination performance across a wide path while eliminating glare to the eyes. For roadway lighting applications, the UCG2 LED railing system is designed to emanate light below eye level and provides excellent horizontal surface brightness across a 6.5m distance with a minimum illuminance of 14lx at ground level.
