Die-cast aluminum housing with top opening service door provides architectural strength, rugged durability and superior heat management to the luminaire. High shock and vibration resistance construction offers superior protection for the electrical and optical components. The top opening service door is tightly secured with self-locking screws. An anti-knock hinge system prevents rub and scratch of the aluminum surface finish when the service door is open for maintenance. The aluminum housing is scaled to lumen package which is delivered by a calculated number of modular LED engines framing up firmly along the mounting track.
The thermal management system of JRA5 LED street lights capitalizes on convective, conductive and radiative cooling methodologies with a mechanical design that provides maximum airflow and a robust thermal path. The top opening service door are designed with an array of small ventilation holes allowing the heated air to be convected away from the LED engines. The modular LED engines incorporate heatsinks anodized in black which has superior absorption at all wavelengths, adding great thermal radiation performance to the thermal management system. The heat sink is made of ASTM 6063 aluminum alloy that has high thermal conductivity.
Light Source and Optics
The LED engines of JRA5 Series LED street lights utilize Cree/Osram LEDs that offer high efficacy and high lumen output at high drive currents with no reduction in rated lifetime. The exceptional performance and reliability enable the JRA5 lighting systems to deliver higher LPW and longer L70 life than other products in its class. With precision molded TIR optics, JRA5 produces high-quality light with exceptional optical uniformity, reduced glare and improved lighting control for the efficient illumination of roadways and streets. The JRA5 Series LED street lights are available in 60W, 90W, 120W, 150W, 180W, 210W and 240W models with lumen delivery ranging from 4800 to 25450 lumens. The highly integrated light engines are IP67 rated with a high degree of watertight integrity and dust-proofness.
The constant-current-operated LED engines are driven by Mean Well/Inventronics drivers which feature overload, undervoltage, short-circuit and over-temperature protection. The high performance LED drivers are designed to high efficiency standards with excellent power factor (PF) and total harmonic distortion (THD) over wide variations in operation conditions. These high reliability LED drivers are engineered with robust specifications for moisture, vibration and extreme temperature protection. The JRA5 Series is equipped with field replaceable surge protection device that protects the complete system against transient line surges.
The aluminum housing undergoes a multi-stage cleaning and chromating process which creates a corrosion resistant substrate. An ultradurable layer of TGIC polyester powder coat finish is bonded to the chemical chromatized substrate by heat fusion thermosetting for long lasting salt and humidity resistance as well as UV resistance for color retention.
The JRA5 Series LED street lights are designed to accept 60mm O.D. mounting arms.
